Hey Guys, so I am back! AND Let me tell you... I thought making piergoi was going to be easy, well guess who was wrong...ME! So, I have a recipe that I am going to use it is my great grandmas that got passed onto my grandma and now my mom has it and soon enough it will be mine. However, when I was researching my topic, apparently making pierogi is very difficult. Most of the research that I conducted told me I would fail during my first time because as I make the batter for the pierogi and I drop them into the boiling water there is a great chance that they will fall apart.... I am hoping they don't but I heard it happens to everyone so I am expecting a bit of disaster over here. But, I am going to stay positive and hope for the best and just keep trying until I succeed. The whole point of this Genius Hour is to learn something I never thought I would be able to do, so I will just believe in myself and pray that it all works out.
Well, I am going to head out now do a little more research pierogi! Wish me luck!
Tootles.

How to make pierogi's from scratch (yikes!)
Hi Everyone!! Welcome to my Blog!
My name is Ewelina Pawlowski and welcome to my Blog. I am kind of new to this so bare with me as I attempt to intrigue you with this awesome new project I am starting. So, I am sure as you guys can see my name looks totally Polish (yes the ski gave it away...) I am Polish and proud of it. So, lets get back to this awesome new project I told you guys about. I had decided to try and attempt to make homemade pierogi's from sratch...scary right! I decided I was going to do this as my genius hour project because pierogi have been a part of my life for 22 year. When I tell someone I am Polish, usually the first thing that comes to mind is can you make pierogi and my answer is no. So, I think it is about time that I learn how to make them (only took me 22 years). With that being said I am going to be showing you guys my progress of how these pierogi's are turning out. I will make sure I post pictures of what ingredients I use and the process of me actually making them. So, I hope you guys are as excited (and scared) as I am because I would love to keep my culture alive.
I'll post an update soon! Can't wait to take you on this crazy journey.
